We will surely keep up with our promise. You will get to know about that in a few more days to come.

Time nahi tha esliyae i read current from Nov, few questions were from may june also that i was not able to touch.
But this time i won’t leave any any things untouched 🙂

  • CSE2017 aspirant (ABG) says:

    Thanks Baba ji
Though I could not perform that well, but indeed many questions came from 60+3 program and I am highly indebted to you.
Thank you and looking forward for TLP season 2 and I hope it becomes even more successful than your prelims campaign 🙂

  • ASTRO BOY RETURNS says:

sorry to say, here, i was extremely disappoint with my performance…due to haphazardly covered CA THAT TOO IN last moment of exam day. dont know what to do after working tiredlessly over long time.

    • CSE2017 aspirant (ABG) says:

koi naa bhai – prepare even better for next time 🙂
There is nothing to lose, bas padte raho – prepare for mains also and participate in TLP season 2.

      • ASTRO BOY RETURNS says:

i prepared exhaustly all conventional topic, i feel, last few weeks exam tensions, along with completely neglecting CURRENT AFFAIRS PART. ( which still i forget to give importance to this part ,also never get improving with my performance in prelims after exhausted study…put me panicked in exam day…day before yesterday night i was slept just 3 hrs only..tackling questions almost pick wrong one outweight more than right ones…cant able to move on..since i always prepared mains nmy optional part inadvance…i seriously felt my approach towards prelims is never be on positive side..since last 2 years. right nw put under scrutiny upon my abilities whether i m ll be right caliber person to fit in cse or not. an lone wounded wolf’s pain never be understood by no one.

        • CSE2017 aspirant (ABG) says:

See – anyone can clear CSE exam
Mistakes happen and one need to understand from them
UPSC gives us 6 chances and you have lost only 2
I understand that you have prepared for last 2 years rigorously – that knowledge will never go in vain.
I too did not perform that well in exam hall ( I used to score better in many mocks which were difficult than prelims )
It happens with many of us. Failure does not mean that you are incapable.
I would advice you to take some relax now and then prepare again with full vigour.

I would like to give example from sports
In Rio olympics, Bindra came 4th – just missed bronze by whisker, champion shooter Gagan Narang can not make the cut. Djokovic lost in first round. Hockey champs Australia lost match against minnows. That does not mean they are incapable.

Failure and success are part and parcel of life. We are here to enjoy this process. Winner is that who does not give up after n number of failures.

I realise your pain after performing poorly in prelims. Sabko hota hai and it’s natural. Just relax for few days and then take decision. You can make it to the final list. IASbaba is always with us. Just never lose hope. Be patient – ek na ek din success milega. You just need to tweak your strategy and maintain balance between different subjects.

Your preparation for mains and optional will be very handy next time when you give exam ( time hi kitna hai yaar, June main hai. Firse ek aur try maar and you will make it ) Sab accha ho jaayega.

          • CSP16MAINS@AP says:

Winner is that who does not give up after n number of failures.?????

          • ASTRO BOY RETURNS says:

no words to acknowledge ur reply. i still do know whether once again i may fail to clear prelims or not, but i believe my hardwork ll not goes down in vain.thank u for ur thoughtful comment.

          • HappyIAS says:

dude, dont fret over it too much! especially right now.. just do what makes u happy.. anyway, u wanted to clear it to make u happy, noe? So, ultimate goal is satisfaction and happiness na.. dont be so worried.. read baba’s post before prelims.. did u read about Satya Nadella? He couldnt clear Prelims thrice! Depressed and dejected, he left for US. Need I say more?

So, dont u give up on ur dream until u know u have given ur 100% and God has made different plans for u. Believe u me. His plan is the best of all the plans we make for ourselves.

So, have faith in urself and in ur abilities.. UPSC doesn’t define us and our lives.. it’s just a part of our lives..

          • CSE2017 aspirant (ABG) says:

We never know what will happen. But, yes we should start our prep now. We just cannot predict what’s gonna happen. We can only hope that cutoff is 102-107.

          • Cuyen says:

am just scared when people say cutoff will be 120.:P

          • CSE2017 aspirant (ABG) says:

I read your comment and it’s unfortunate that fever struck you at wrong time. You did exceptionally well to score around 107 even after fever. I hope you get qualified for mains ( Mera bhi ho jaayega itne par 🙂 ).

Will see you in TLP – keep writing. let’s do a good prep of mains and hope that luck favours us there.

Even I did the same Thing neglecting Current Affairs was the gravest Mistake I did (I was like I should focus more on modern history & laxmikanth So I revised it One more Time ; They will ask max – max 15 question from Current Affairs ). Upsc Surprised me a lot Now I don’t know whether I am going to make it or not. I Realized One thing CSE IS UNPREDICTABLE , from now onwards I wont specualte or predict anything. The best Approach is “expect the Unexpected”.

  • The Showstopper says:

Yes Yes you won.Now give me my cookie.
Well Prelims 2017 is on june 18.(hurry)As an old ILP aspirant i need to know when the 2017 plan starts. As a part of current ILP how will the membership plan will work if i want to opt for ILP 2017.(I know you wont tell me individually and would actually make a post for this question.Still can you do it like you know Tommoro:)I barely gave 4 test that too from Prelims plan.Mains i wasnt there(well i was in hopital with a tube in mouth). But i liked mains block much more than prelims addons. So i hope you step up the prelims plan more this time around. And then i never had time for tests.I did finished all subjects but decided that i cant prepare for all of current affairs and thought to not attemp half of it.Well as you know by now UPSC has killed me like Jon Snow.(Its actually hilarious now at the point i am in life…..everytime i hope things to not go south it blows full south.(I am like Witness me and the Universe is like Mediocre). Its totally like the movie Martian.

  • SherniZaad says:

I want to thank the whole team of IASbaba from the Mariana Trench of my heart. I had never thought of scoring this much ever in my life. I always wanted to just clear it with a decent score. Made no mistake in choosing ILP over others, but somewhere down the line owing to various reasons (read external factors / excuses) couldn’t follow it religiously.

But have no regrets over the last year what i have achieved, from zero to having a chance of crossing a line is no bad while working in a hectic job life.

Have many doubts now how to go about it next.
    1. Should leave job and prepare full time ?
    2. Should switch job for a less demanding to devote more time ?
    3. Should first secure RBI/SSC first this year then go for it next to next year ?

Just a basic about me if someone want to help me clear my above doubts:
graduated in 2014, 2nd attempt, it sector, pretty good pay (making the decision harder), last but not the motivated to join indian administrative services one day.

i know these doubts are very generic and it depends on the exact situation of the candidate on how to go about it. i was thinking of crashing over to your gates just after the exams but was ashamed as after getting the questions straight away from the mock papers , i couldn’t cross the line.

finally done or not, thank you for making me believe i can do it with focussed approach without going to mecca of upsc at least prelims. enjoy the tremendous success u have achieved it this time. hope we would celebrate it together.

Could have written it as mail, but as many crossed the line, many couldn’t do it so just for them they are not alone :p and the questions if answered would be of help for lot of people like me 🙂

    THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Don’t leave your job. Have the will power to clear it while working. Can be done.
Try clearing RBI. Last year my friend cleared it, and now he has lost the charm for civil services (coz former is a very fulfilling job, both work wise and money wise). Lot of opportunities are there, keep swimming.

    • jay says:

Buddy, start preparing for mains anyways…It won’t go wasted at all. Obviously u r not going to prepare for prelims alone in the coming months. I hope that you clear.

    • Pravin says:

@arjunvkartha:disqus Yes you are IN. Cutoff would be around 88-90. Start preparing for mains

  • swati30 says:

Thank you babaji.. from not clearing prelims last year to getting in by a good margin this year.. it was all because of you. ILP and 60 days plan worked wonders.. really grateful for your efforts and support.. hope to get even better result in mains.. KEEP ROCKING 🙂

  • jay says:

U guys have always rocked!! Since the inception of IASbaba in June 2015, I’ve been an ardent follower as well as a promoter 😛 😛 of the website. Last time I lost prelims by around 7-8 marks, but nevertheless whatever I could answer was solely because I followed this site. This time, I joined ILP and I can definitely say that my performance have increased significantly. This time I’ve done better but I don’t know if I can clear prelims with a score of 104.

But I can say this for sure; even if I don’t make it this time, the satisfaction that I have done better than previous attempt is only due to the fact that this website has helped me immensely. And I will continue seeking your guidance with TLP and other initiatives..Thank you so much , Sirs. I really mean it !!!

  • Simi says:

Thank you so much babaji. Your initiatives worked wonders for me. IASBABA is AWESOME!!

  • singh swadesh says:

Thank you Babaji!! your support really helped me. your 60 days plan was best!! hopefully i’ll clear it but my marks are at edge as per previous year cut-off.
    Again thanks a lot!!

Well, isn’t this post half truth! Why haven’t you calculated the contribution of inspirational articles, videos, quotes and the constant reminder – ” Accountability to self is the only way for success” ? Where is the contribution of active, lively and positive community? I guess these contributions are hard to quantify but not hard to recognise and be grateful about.

Thank you Iasbaba for providing not only prelims conquering questions but all round ecosystem. You are an inspiration.

  • Dharavi Writer says:

    Thank u sir 🙂 :*

Is there any PSIR optional candidate here ?

  • Bubun says:

Scored 150 +-2: 80 correct & 12 incorrect, thanks to ur All India Free mock which was someway absurd & weird (both questions & solutions).
I was really humbled there to score just 90 in ur 2nd All India Mock after seeing 50 odd guys scoring above 120.
(This shock snatched 20 marks from me in prelims :D)

Anyway 60 days was really good, grateful to you for that. It was much grounded & far better than Vision & Vajiram’s test series

Any guy/girl from History optional. Plz contact to this mail id: abinashmishra321@gmail.com. We are forming a study group.

    • aspirant aspirant says:

Congrats dude… I am highly disappointed with my performance. What is the actual strategy you followed to get 150 marks. Any magazine for current affairs other than Vision IAS…..I want to score 130+ in CSP 2017….How you are managed Medival india Qs ? ….

      • Bubun says:

        1. I make concise notes of Insight daily current events becuase they cover almost all relevant articles from a broad source. Make it concise. Remove unnecessary facts, datas & figures. Do it on monthly basis. No need to read any magazine or even The Hindu.

        2. Medieval History: History is my optional. I read it deeply. U just refer to Satish Chandra. Mark out important things there only. Read_ re read the book again & again. That’s all.

        • aspirant aspirant says:

          ok..Thanks for the reply……

I was followed VISION IAS monthly magazine …..50% current affairs came from this magazine.

I did not find in Vision magazine like Doctors without borders, red sanders, swayam, import cover……

Were they covered in Insights……In 2014, I was followed insight daily events…looked not worthy at that time and also they dont cover Sunday news……

Were all medieval Qs came directly from satish chandra ?

      • Harshit says:

An all time strategy can only fetch you 110-120 marks. It might be your day that most questions are asked from optional. History optional must have done really well this time. Medicines sans frontier was in Hindu. http://www.thehindu.com/sci-tech/health/mdecins-sans-frontires-on-indias-role-in-the-rcep-meet/article8728609.ece
        Hindu is must.

        • aspirant aspirant says:

Thanks frnd …..How to avoid silly mistakes ? Because of this, I have lost 20 marks.

  • Red Dragon says:

    🙂 whenever I see ur write-ups… It puts smile on my face…not bcz u r joking…but bcz u r so sincere…ur planning is so awesome… Even if I write pages I won’t be tired of praising u… Ur 60+3 plan was invaluable… Thank you, thank u n thank u 😀

do i have any chance? is it even possible to clear prelims with such dismal performance in paper 2?

Plz reply.. i have been dying to find out

  • Atul Sharma says:

    Dear Baba

Congratulations on your marvelous work in last 60 days. Fortunately I could read your last few days motivation articles which were really turning points for me despite being repeat of last year.

Thank you so much for all your efforts in the whole last year. I am scoring 119 to 127 according to different keys.

Hoping to write mains for which you deserve a part of course. Thank you babababa again!!!

  • Surabhi says:

    Dear Babaji,
Thanks for your efforts, which are mostly grounded & realistic ones. You are not just teacher but a mentor in complete sense, and you really care for the those who are genuine followers & are serious in their effort. Personally I knew, I was not a stalwart of paper-1 (can never be :D). But could manage 109-115 (different keys), only because of your consistent guidance & programs, which help me push my abilities. Cutoffs are really unpredictable, some are even giving range of +-10 (20 marks! – It is too harsh), but not their fault, after all it is unpredictable UPSC. 🙂 So, Thank you. Hope to clear prelims & complete the journey this year itself, else like Anupam kher says “Kuch bhi ho sakta hai!”

  • Moriarty Fan says:

@iasbaba:disqus I am a regular follower of your program, I am getting 130 marks according to forumias key, do you think it is sufficient for IFos cutoff.

  • Anurag says:

    Thank you very much Babaji..
ILP initiative was a great Idea and a greater Hit. I owe much of my 107.67 marks (+/- 4) to this alongwith test series and Value added notes, C.A. Capsule etc. But much more than that it gave me an opportunity to be in touch with some awesome mentors and friends.
Still I don’t know that this score is enough or not but I am OK with it as I gave mental as well as physical Exam ( 102 degree Fever on sat and D-day).
Thank you Babaji(s) for all the pains and effort. Real DECENTRALISATION starts from here. 😉

  • Toad Sage says:

Babaji thanks to your immense support I have managed to score around 125-130 marks in Prelims 2016. I have always been a silent follower ever since the inception of the website but today I am compelled to express my heartfelt gratitude.

I happened to come across your website when I began my preparation for UPSC and it instantly clicked. The simplicity and the focus on smart work was just super awesome and so I had absolutely no doubt in my mind when I decided to join the ILP 3 program. From then on the experience got even better with the personal interactions doing wonders to my motivation levels and helping me to analyse and work on my weak areas. Babaji, not only did you repay our trust in you but over and over again you went much beyond it with your sincere efforts and quality material.

There is still a long way to go and I am sure that the journey ahead is going to be as exciting and fun filled as it has been up until now. Once again I wish to thank you for everything that you have done. I hope that the bond we have formed grows stronger as we progress and leads us on to the path of success. And now lets’s rock with TLP Part 2!!!

    Babaji ki Jai!!!

  • Pavithran Garcio says:

    Hello ias babaji!!!
I read sincerely for prelims from june only, followed your 60 days plan, that’s all i did, never read newspapers also properly, and i am getting 105.33 according to your key. Thank you so much!!!! I sincerely agree that 70 plus questions came from your revision plan only….

  • thesilentguardian says:

Thank you very much babaji for your support throughout the CSE preperation….especially your 60 days plan was immensely helpful. Hoping to sail through the prelims with very good marks(125+ in paper 1). You cannot imagine sense of confidance it has instilled in me after the past year failure in prelims. It was indeed a shot in the arm. 🙂

  • ALAG says:

I don’t know how to thank babaji and Team . I was devastated just before one week of the preliminary exam 2016. I was not getting what to do;though I had prepared. Preparation was unorganised, I was not knowing which source I had read. Then comes the saviour compilation of current affairs and static parts. I glanced through these. While attempting paper, I was overjoyed to see question were directly or indirectly taken from them. I am thanking you babaji from bottom my heart .because of you I am able to attempt 78 questios. Hope to clear prelims.

  • Harshit says:

Absolutely noone seems to get less than 115.
I really feel 112 seems to be a bad score, may be not even enough.
Last year I got 106. Will this year be the same? :O

  • Event Horizon says:

    Thank you Sir!
The 60 days and ILP programme proved to be of immense help

  • PERSISTENCE says:

Thanks a ton @IASbaba scoring 133-135 (according to various key)s with the help of your open initiatives.
If i had not followed your 60day programme i woudnt be writing this today, as my favorite and strong subjects are geo, history, polity and abysmally low questions from those areas would have shattered my dreams if it was not for your emphasis on current affairs. Thanks a lot and hoping for the same quality guidance for the mains this year. Totally dependent on IASBABA…

  • raunak ranjan says:

Baba please clarify the debatable chief secretary question.

  • in one of my post,i suggested all to do the questions from @iasbaba:disqus ………..and i also said i never would write a post if it’s not gonna happen and look 70+ questions comes from iasbaba…………that why i am able to correct 95 questions correct,,,,,,,,,,whoever took my advice seriously definitely got through the prelims

……………Thanks once again babaji,,,,,,,,,,so,babaji what your plan for this year mains as well as optional(History)……………

  • @heidi how was your paper my dear…………..got to know your score………..now gear up for mains………..this time we both had to be on the list………….

  • KTGULFAM says:

Thanks a lot @iasbaba:disqus. I followed your 60-day plan religiously and also focussed a lot on my weaknesses. I am scoring around 115.33 (+-2) which might make me sail through. Irrespective of the fact if it does or does not, I still owe a lot to you. Thanks a lot for being a guiding light and leading us to the path of success. Thanks a ton!!

P.S: Any Public Administration aspirant who is willing to share details and prepare together please feel free to mail me at: bawasinghbawa@gmail.com Thanks!

  • pradeep pal says:

also having geo optional….mitra made any group kya?

  • The Hulk says:

Baba one request.. Most of the questions stated above were not part of your ILP tests, and almost all of them were not static one.. Students tend to emphasise more on question that came in mock tests and judge themselves on that basis. But this time please make your tests more comprehensive so that we can be ready for any surprises from UPSC like this time where static portion carried a relatively less marks then previous years. Want to see 70+ hit ratio from your ILP alone.. And thanks for doing so much hard work for us.. May God bless you all…

    • IASbaba says:

Because of ILP we are able to maintain the overall quality service that we provide on iasbaba.com

Sustenance will take us further in improving our quality and focus on outcome based service. That’s our aim 🙂

  • Rabindra Mishra says:

Hey what will be d final notification of Baswan report from Government.

    • IASbaba says:

Don’t worry. If it all it gets implemented, it will be over 4 years. Also it will be pareto optional decision – in this sense additional grace attempts will be given to people who have crossed the age limit so that no one looses out.
