This Saturday, IASbaba brings you an inspiring and insightful Topper’s Strategy Session with two outstanding achievers from Baba’s Gurukul Program who have successfully navigated the challenges of the Civil Services Examination and will share their preparation journey, strategies, and key lessons from their UPSC experience.
This session offers aspirants a valuable opportunity to learn directly from those who have faced the same challenges and successfully navigated the path to success.

Diksha Rai’s journey is a powerful reminder that persistence and learning from setbacks are key to cracking UPSC.
Coming from a humble background, Diksha completed her schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya in Andal and graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from Visva Bharati University.
Her UPSC journey reflects remarkable perseverance:
- 1st Attempt (2021): Could not clear Mains
- 2nd Attempt (2022): Secured AIR 374
- 3rd Attempt: Missed Prelims due to CSAT
- 4th Attempt: Reached the Interview stage
- 5th Attempt: Achieved AIR 40 in UPSC CSE 2025
Diksha is known for her exceptional Mains answer writing skills, consistently scoring high in Essay and GS papers.
Her Essay scores of 130, 118, and 130 demonstrate the importance of structured thinking and effective presentation in the Mains examination.

Ayush Krishna

Prelims Strategy Expert
Ayush Krishna’s story reflects the power of discipline, resilience, and long-term preparation.
Originally from Muzaffarpur, Bihar, Ayush studied at Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Deoghar, and later graduated in B.Tech Engineering Physics from IIT Guwahati.
Before fully committing to UPSC preparation, he worked as a Software Engineer at CGI in Bangalore (2017–2018).
His UPSC journey has been one of perseverance:
- 7 UPSC Attempt
- 6 Mains Appearances
- 5 Interview Calls
- Selected as Indian Forest Service Officer (IFoS) in 2021 – Rank 06
He is currently serving as Assistant Conservator of Forests in Jawar, Maharashtra.
