Scams aren’t aberrations in India. Rather they are too frequent and pervasive. In fact, citizens in India have somehow internalised this reality and news about scams don’t create furore anymore! Sad as it might sound, scams have become a part of Indian public life. What is your view of this scenario? What has gone wrong? Why have we become so complacent and despondent? Can’t anything be done about it? How can you contribute, as a civil servant and as a common citizen? Discuss.
