We would like to tell you something. UPSC is unpredictable and none except UPSC knows about it. The purpose of this post is to caution you about the crucial moment you are in. Do not involve yourself in talks and predictions about 2015 now.
Some will say, for 2015- No less than 120 Marks in GS is safe. Others will say, No No- Now GS is the sole decider, so 130-140 will be safe since few year back, the cut off was as high as 241 for General.
Guys!! Trust us, these figures has nothing to do with your preparation neither any figure in your mind can propel you to attempt as many as questions to reach that limit. Your success is to be based on preparation level not on preconceived limits or figures.
You will attempt 160 marks if you are confident of it and at the same time, you will never attempt above 120 if you have no idea about other questions. An ideal candidate follows his/her instincts and tries to maximize on their preparation, confidence and cognition rather than being involved in futile perception.
Your work is done after you attempt the exam. Never base your preparation on speculations. It will only degrade your performance.
Still 1 Month is left for the exam. Concentrate yourself and stay away from negative energy. Try to solve more and more questions, learn the concepts and revise everything that you have learnt till now. Hope IASbaba’s Prelims Tests – 60+3 Day Plan is helping you out and instilling confidence in you. Remember one thing, it is not about solving 1000 questions before the exam but about learning 1000 concepts before you are tested in UPSC.
Make a note that UPSC questions will be totally new but concepts will remain the same. If you learn the concepts, you can handle any question and if not, then no cramming, rote learning or 50 Test Series will come to your help.
Good Luck friends for 2015 Prelims 🙂
