The Official Economic Survey 2016-17 consists of 330 pages. The Survey deals with realistic assessment of the many challenges facing the Indian economy in the coming years.
From the point of UPSC perspective –
- Aspirants have to keep track of the issues and challenges identified in the survey and develop a basic understanding of the same. One should be able to analyze, and take a view on conflicting socio- economic goals, objectives and demands. The Survey holds an important weightage in all the three stages of the examination – Prelims, Mains and Interview.
