Note: TLP Phase I is designed to let you explore and express the basic concepts in different subjects. The questions asked in this phase won’t be too analytical. However, they will require you to connect different concepts and evolve a response.

This time, we are posting questions in Hindi as well to encourage participation from aspirants writing their exam in Hindi language. We request you to write and upload your answers on this forum and get benefited from the community.

1. How does India’s federal structure differ from its western counterparts? Examine.

भारत का संघीय ढांचा इसके पश्चिमी समकक्षों से कैसे अलग है? जांच करें।

2. How well the existing federal structure has given room to the states to function as independent units? Examine. Also explain the concepts of cooperative and competitive federalism.

3. Devolution of powers to the local governing bodies mean little in the absence of meaningful financial devolution. Elucidate. What steps have been taken to address this issue? Discuss.
