Note: TLP Phase I is designed to let you explore and express the basic concepts in different subjects. The questions asked in this phase won’t be too analytical. However, they will require you to connect different concepts and evolve a response.

This time, we are posting questions in Hindi as well to encourage participation from aspirants writing their exam in Hindi language. We request you to write and upload your answers on this forum and get benefited from the community.

1. Differentiate between the terms ‘impartiality’, ‘non-partisanship’ and ‘objectivity’. Why these attributes are necessary for a civil servant.

‘निष्पक्षता’, ‘गैर-पक्षपात’ और ‘वस्तुपरकता’ के बीच अंतर स्पष्ट करें। लोक सेवक के लिए ये गुण क्यों आवश्यक हैं?

2. Laws alone can not secure freedom of expression; in order that every man present his views without penalty there must be spirit of tolerance in the entire population. Discuss.

केवल कानून अभिव्यक्ति की स्वतंत्रता को सुरक्षित नहीं कर सकते हैं। हर आदमी बिना दंड के अपने विचार पेश करे, तो पूरी आबादी में सहिष्णुता की भावना का होना जरुरी है। चर्चा करें।

3. It is very important to understand that emotional intelligence is not the opposite of intelligence, it is not the triumph of heart over head–it is the unique intersection of both. Elucidate.

यह समझना बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है कि भावनात्मक बोधगम्यता, बोधगम्यता के विपरीत नहीं है, यह मष्तिष्क पर ह्रदय की जीत नहीं है – यह दोनों का अनूठा संबंध है। स्पष्ट करें।

4. Compassion towards the weaker-sections is considered to be one of the most fundamental attributes for a civil servant. Why? Examine.

कमजोर वर्गों के प्रति दयालुता एक लोक सेवक के लिए सबसे मौलिक विशेषताओं में से एक माना जाता है। क्यों? जांच करें।

5. Genius is nothing but a greater aptitude for patience. Comment.

प्रतिभा (जीनियस) कुछ और नहीं अपितु धैर्य की ही अधिक योग्यता है। टिप्पणी करें।
