1. Question
You are the coordinator of a waste collection center of a non-profit organization. You observed that your driver had been in stress for last couple of weeks, who otherwise is a hard-working, smiling, genuine person. When you inquired, it was financial problem in his family which was bothering him. He was not able to pay the school fee of his kids for quite some-time now. You know that there is no possibility of salary increase in near future. What would you do as a coordinator considering the interests of all stakeholders?
Correct
Solution (c)
Option ‘a’ could have been a possibility, if there was any specific mention of availability of such donors.
Option ‘b’ is not a sustainable solution as the financial crisis is always meant happen in life.
Option ‘d’ is not a best way as it is clearly mentioned that increment in the salary is not at all a possibility in near future. Also, even if it was a possibility, it would not happen overnight. So, for solving the current stressful situation for your team member, supporting him is the best possible option for the given situation.

Question 2 of 5
2. Question
A rectangular courtyard 4.12 metres long and 3.28 metres wide is to be paved exactly with square tiles, all of the same size. What is the largest size of the tile which could be used for the purpose?
Correct
Solution (b)
We know that,
4.12 m = (4.12*100) = 412 cm
3.28 m = (3.28*100) = 328 cm
In order to get the size of the tile which will fit in properly on both sides, we will need a number which is nothing but a common factor for both measurements.
So, largest size of the tile which could be used for the purpose is nothing but the HCF of the two sides = HCF of 412 cm and 328 cm = 4 cm
Incorrect

Question 3 of 5
3. Question
Ashish, Aamir and Anshul invested Rs.18000, Rs.24000 and Rs.8000 respectively in a business. Aamir left after six months. If after eight months, there was a gain of Rs.4400, then what will be the share of Anshul?
Correct
Solution (a)
Ratio of investment of Ashish, Aamir and Anshul during 8 months = (18000 × 8) : (24000 × 6) : (8000 × 8)
= 144: 144: 64 = 9: 9: 4
Anshul’s share = Total Profit * Ratio of (Anshul’s investment / Total of Investment) = Rs.4400 ×4/22 = Rs.800
Incorrect
Solution (a)
Ratio of investment of Ashish, Aamir and Anshul during 8 months = (18000 × 8) : (24000 × 6) : (8000 × 8)
= 144: 144: 64 = 9: 9: 4
Anshul’s share = Total Profit * Ratio of (Anshul’s investment / Total of Investment) = Rs.4400 ×4/22 = Rs.800

Question 4 of 5
4. Question
A man can row upstream at 8 kmph and downstream at 12 kmph. Find man’s rate in still water and the rate of current?
Correct
Solution (b)
Let the speed of the man and speed of the current be ‘u’ and ‘v’ kmph.
So, during downstream relative speed = u + v = 12kmph
During upstream = u – v = 8kmph
Adding the two equation, we get 2u= 20kmph which gives ‘u’ as 10 kmph and ‘v’ = 2kmph.
Incorrect
