It mapped Moon in infrared, visible, and X-ray light from lunar orbit and used reflected radiation to prospect for various elements, minerals, and ice Context – Chandrayaan 2 made observations on global distribution on Argon-40 on Moon.
Incorrect
Solution (a)
Statement Analysis:
Statement 1 Statement 2 Statement 3 Correct Correct Incorrect It is an Indian lunar mission to explore the unchartered south pole of Moon by landing a rover. Its lander is ‘Vikram’ and rover is ‘Pragyan’. It was launched by Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle Mk-III in 2019. Question 26 of 30
26. Question
Consider the following statement given below
Statement:
In Japan, the incidence of stomach cancer is very high, while that of bowel cancer is very low. But Japanese immigrate to Hawaii, this is reversed – the rate of bowel cancer increases but the rate of stomach cancer is reduced in the next generation. All this is related to nutrition – the diets of Japanese in Hawaii are different than those in Japan.
Conclusions:
- The same diet as in Hawaii should be propagated in Japan also.
- Bowel cancer is less severe than stomach cancer.
Correct
Solution (d)
The statement does not propagate the diet of any of the countries neither does it compare the two types of cancer. So, neither I nor II follows.
Incorrect
Solution (d)
The statement does not propagate the diet of any of the countries neither does it compare the two types of cancer. So, neither I nor II follows.

Question 27 of 30
27. Question
Consider the following statement given below
Statement:
Wind is an inexhaustible source of energy and an aero-generator can convert it into electricity. Though not much has been done in this field, the survey shows that there is vast potential for developing wind as alternative source of energy.
Conclusions:
- Energy by wind is comparatively newly emerging field.
- The energy crisis can be dealt by exploring more in the field of aero-generation.
Correct
Solution (c)
The phrase ‘not much has been done in this field’ indicates that wind energy is a comparatively newly emerging field. So, I follows. The expression ‘there is vast potential for developing wind as alternative source of energy’ proves II to be true.
Incorrect
Solution (c)
The phrase ‘not much has been done in this field’ indicates that wind energy is a comparatively newly emerging field. So, I follows. The expression ‘there is vast potential for developing wind as alternative source of energy’ proves II to be true.

Question 29 of 30
29. Question
Each of the questions below consists of a question and two statements numbered I and II given below it. You have to decide whether the data provided in the statements are sufficient to answer the question. Read both the statements and give answer: Which village is to the North-East of village ‘A’?
- Village ‘B’ is to the North of village A, villages C and D are to the East and West of village B, respectively.
- Village ‘P’ is to the South of village ‘A’ and village ‘E’ is to the East of village ‘P’, village ‘K’ is to the North of village ‘P’.
Choose the correct code
Correct
Solution (a)
From statement 1
We can infer that C is towards North-East.
From Statement 2,
From the above diagram, We can’t determine K’s position.
Hence, statement 1 alone is enough. Option(a) is the right answer.

Question 30 of 30
30. Question
Read the following passage and answer the questions that follow each passage. Your answer to these questions should be based on passage only.
From ‘apparel to aerospace’, ‘steel to software’, the pace of technological innovation is quickening. No longer can companies afford to miss generation of technology and expect to remain competitive. Adding to the pressure, innovations are increasingly crossing industry boundaries; a new fibre developed by the textile industry has potential for building materials and medical equipment. Some companies are adept at using a diversity of technologies to create new products that transform markets. But many others are floundering because they rely on a technology strategy that no longer works in such a fast changing environment. The difference between success and failure is not how much a company spends on research and development (R&D), but how it approaches it. There are two possible approaches. Either a company can invest in R&D that an older generation of technology the ‘break through’ approach-or its focus on combining existing technologies into hybrid technologies – the ‘technologies fusion’ approach. It blends incremental technical improvements from several previously separate fields of technology to create products that revolutionise markets.
In a world where the old maxim ‘one technology one industry’ no longer applies, a singular breakthrough strategy is inadequate; companies need to include both the breakthrough and fusion approaches in their technology strategy. Relying on breakthroughs alone fails because it focuses the R&D efforts to narrowly, ignoring the possibilities of combining technologies. Yet many western companies still rely almost exclusively – on the breakthrough approach. The reasons are complex: a distrust of outside innovations and not-invented here engineering and arrogance and aversion to sharing research results.
Q.30) Which of the following would correctly reflect the position regarding the two approaches to technology adoption?
Correct
Solution (a)
Refer the first sentence of the last paragraph “In a world where the old maxim ‘one technology one industry’ no longer applies, a singular breakthrough strategy is inadequate; companies need to include both the breakthrough and fusion approaches in their technology strategy.”.
From this we can infer that option a is the correct answer.
