Set 1: Ask these questions to yourself; contemplate and come out with a concrete answer (not to be discussed on this forum). Invest at least 30 minutes on this set of questions.

• Why do people become corrupt when they acquire power?
• Would you get tempted towards corrupt practices once you join the Civil Services?
• How can you be so sure that power won’t corrupt you?

Set 2: Analyse the following issue:

Why haven’t we be able to address the Kashmir issue? What factors can be attributed to the failure of the attempts by the Indian state to bring the Kashmiris into the national fold? Has present day leadership failed us or are these the past blunders that have created the standoff? Critically examine.
