Hello Friends
Archives
UPSC has increasingly increased its standard (syllabus) in these years in history paper. For example if you are still wondering from where the battle of Panipat question was asked, even if you can write something, but from where the proper answer can be found? The answer is Satish Chandra. A book that I guess hardly any GS student read. Another thing has been introduction of world history which is still read haphazardly(internet). And trust me Norman Lowe is not the answer of your problems. It does takes time to prepare world history.
So… I am thinking of putting such questions from GS-1 (One per day)- not requiring more than half hour study- together with history optional initiative. If you think writing with history optional students can provide you with a healthy competition and helpful for world history and ancient and medieval culture then your participation is welcome 🙂
Regarding reviews, I will be honest. Running this alone is already difficult. But looking at optional student answer will help you for sure. It can develop an understanding of why events happened instead of mugging it all up as I have seen many talking about history.
Please let me know your interest as I don’t want to jump in with zero participation.
Regards
Abhishek
P.S- Also, aspirants from History optional are requested to coordinate with Abhishek for successful run of this platform. It shouldn’t become a burden on one for the benefit of all.
