IASbaba’s Interview Discussion UPSC IAS [DAY 10]: Think, Rethink and Perform (TRP)
Archives
Set 1: Ask these questions to yourself; contemplate and come out with a concrete answer (not to be discussed on this forum). Invest at least 30 minutes on this set of questions.
- Do you regret any of your past actions?
- What could have been done to avoid that mistake?
- What lessons have you derived from that action?
Set 2: Analyse the following issue:
The entire nation seems to be celebrating the encounter of the 4 rape accused in the Hyderabad rape case. Many feel that justice has been served and the soul of the victim would rest in peace now. But is that the case? What do you think? Has justice really been delivered by killing the accused? What if the encounter is fake? Will you still support the move?
Many people also argue that it is easy to take higher moral ground if the victim is not related to a person. What the family of the victim has suffered can’t be expressed in words and therefore in whatever form punishment has been given to the accused, even it was full of vengeance, doesn’t really matter. The very fact that the perpetrators are dead is a big solace for the family.
What are your views in this regard? Think and come up with a balanced response.
P.S: Discuss and encourage others to discuss in the comment section below. This will help you in getting various dimensions of an issue, the reasoning behind it which is very important in your Interview Preparation.
