Question 1 of 5
1. Question
In each of the questions below are given two or three statements, followed by conclusions: 1, 2, 3 and 4. You have to take the given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance from commonly known facts. Read the conclusions and then decide which of the given conclusions logically follows from the given statements disregarding commonly known facts.
Statements:
Statement 1 – All green are blue
Statement 2 – All blue are white.
Conclusions:
- Some blue are green.

Question 3 of 5
3. Question
A wheel that has 6 cogs is meshed with a larger wheel of 12 cogs. If the smaller wheel has made 22 revolutions, then find the number of revolutions made by the larger wheel.
Correct
Solution (b)
As number of cogs increase, the revolutions made decrease. Hence, this is a problem related to indirect proportion
Let the number of wheels be x.
More cogs, less revolutions
Given: 6 cogs meshed with wheel of 12 cogs and smaller wheel made 22 revolutions
Therefore,
12:6 :: 22:x
12 × x=6 × 22
X = 11

Question 4 of 5
4. Question
Arun took a loan of 1,500 Rs with simple interest for as many years as the rate of interest. If he paid 540 Rs as interest at the end of loan period, what was the rate of interest?
Correct
Solution (d)
Simple interest is same as the rate of interest.
Hence,
Rate of interest = R% and Time = R years
Incorrect
Solution (d)
Simple interest is same as the rate of interest.
Hence,
Rate of interest = R% and Time = R years

Question 5 of 5
5. Question
Two girls move in opposite directions, one from A to B and other from B to A. The girl from A reaches the destination in 16 hrs and girl from B reaches her destination in 25 hrs, after having met. If former’s speed is 25 km/hr, what will be the speed of latter?
Correct
Solution (d)
If two bodies A and B move from each other’s starting point in opposite directions, they reach their destinations after having met, then their speeds Sa & Sb are given by,
Sa / Sb = sqr root of tb / sqr root of ta
Where t is the time taken by them to cover the distance
Sb = (25 x 4)/ 5 = 20 km/hr
Incorrect
