3. What are the different measures of population density? How do they help in understanding the relationship between population and resources in a region? (20 marks)


4. Two-thirds of the world’s inhabitants are clustered in four regions- East Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia and Western Europe. Give an account of the geographical factors which have shaped the current distribution pattern of world population. (15 marks)


5. Applying regions approach, discuss the demographic attributes of the Indian subcontinent. (15 marks)
