Note: TLP Phase I is designed to let you explore and express the basic concepts in different subjects. The questions asked in this phase won’t be too analytical. However, they will require you to connect different concepts and evolve a response.

This time, we are posting questions in Hindi as well to encourage participation from aspirants writing their exam in Hindi language. We request you to write and upload your answers on this forum and get benefited from the community.

1. What is the ‘spoils system’ in America? How does the Indian Constitution avoid the vice of this system? Discuss.

अमेरिका में ‘स्प्वाइल सिस्टम’ क्या है? भारतीय संविधान इस प्रणाली के उपायों से कैसे बचाता है? चर्चा करें।

2. Do you think the current ‘participatory consultative process’ for selecting the judges in higher judiciary needs a serious rethink? Examine in the light of recent controversies plaguing the relationship between the centre and the judiciary?

3. Quite often in India pressure groups are overweighed by religion, caste and language rather than ideological considerations. Do you agree? Substantiate. Also examine the associated fallouts.

5. The dawn of the information age has opened up great opportunities for the beneficial use of data. However, it has also enhanced the perils of unregulated and arbitrary use of personal data. Discuss. Also examine the need of framing a robust law to protect individual data.

सूचना युग के उद्भव ने डेटा के फायदेमंद उपयोग के लिए महान अवसर खोला है। किन्तु, इसने व्यक्तिगत डेटा के अनियमित और मनमानी उपयोग के खतरों को भी बढ़ाया है। चर्चा करें। इसके अलावा व्यक्तिगत डेटा की सुरक्षा के लिए एक मजबूत कानून तैयार करने की आवश्यकता की जांच करें।
