Dear Students,

If you follow cricket, you would definitely understand the coaching term ‘match practice’. Essentially, the preparing team is exposed to match conditions by making it play a full game. But why? Why isn’t regular training or net practice enough? It is so because net practice can’t simulate the pressure of a real match. That’s the reason that you see visiting teams insisting for full fledged match practice before the real tournament starts. In fact you may have heard commentators saying that a player couldn’t perform well because he lacked match practice!

            The preparation for the civil services examination is no different. Your training for the exams constitutes many things – reading books, attending lectures, watching videos, practicing answer writing and so on. However, none of these imitate the pressure of the real exam. This is where the Think, Learn and Perform (TLP) initiative comes in. The TLP initiative is just the match practice you need to excel in the real Prelims/Mains examination.

            The initiative comprises of sectional and full syllabus tests, designed to simulate the real exam experience. We expect our students to attempt the questions in the given time frame and upload their answers on the portal. The answers are evaluated by a team of subject experts who give detailed feedback on the answers. The objective of the feedback is to apprise the students about their areas of strengths and weaknesses. One on one Mentorship is another integral feature of this initiative. The focus of the mentors is to make you grow in confidence and performance with each passing test so that you are fully ready by the time the Main examination arrives. We also provide detailed synopsis to the questions. Believe us, the questions along with the synopsis are an asset.  For the past 6-7 years, we have witnessed scores of UPSC questions directly of indirectly related to the questions posed in TLP.

            The end objective of TLP is to prepare you tackle any question posed by UPSC. Since the nature of UPSC is so unpredictable, we make the TLP papers in a way that it creates the same pressure and surprises you from time to time. After all, the UPSC examination is also a test of your nerves, isn’t it?
