Welcome to TLP- 2018, Day 17

Note: TLP Phase I is designed to let you explore and express the basic concepts in different subjects. The questions asked in this phase won’t be too analytical. However, they will require you to connect different concepts and evolve a response.

This time, we are posting questions in Hindi as well to encourage participation from aspirants writing their exam in Hindi language. We request you to write and upload your answers on this forum and get benefited from the community.

1. India has got a plethora of regulating bodies/ authorities which often have conflicting or overlapping jurisdiction. This requires a major overhaul of the regulatory regime to ensure that ‘minimum government and maximum governance’ is followed in true spirit. Substantiate by taking suitable examples.  

भारत में कई सारे विनियमन करने वाले निकाय हैं  जिनका अधिकार क्षेत्र प्रायः विवादित या अतिवितरण होता है। ऐसे में  ‘न्यूनतम सरकार और अधिकतम शासन’ को सही मायनों में लागू करने हेतु नियामक व्यवस्था में बड़े सुधारों की आवश्यकता है। उपयुक्त उदाहरण द्वारा स्पष्ट करें।

2. Why is government intervention a necessity? Examine. By taking two examples one each from the social sector and any of the economic sectors, illustrate the positive effects of government interventions.

सरकार के हस्तक्षेप की आवश्यकता क्यों होती है? जांच करें। सामाजिक क्षेत्र और किसी भी आर्थिक क्षेत्र से एक-एक उदहारण लेकर सरकार के हस्तक्षेप के सकारात्मक प्रभावों को स्पष्ट करें।

3. What in your opinion are the three most important areas that need government intervention to ensure that India’s demographic dividend doesn’t become a disaster? Substantiate your views.

आपकी राय में वो तीन सबसे महत्वपूर्ण क्षेत्र कौन हैं जहाँ सरकारी हस्तक्षेप की आवश्यकता है ताकि यह सुनिश्चित हो सके कि भारत का जनसांख्यिकीय लाभांश एक आपदा नहीं बन जाए? अपने विचारों की पुष्टि करेंI

4. Examine the significance of social security in India. Also discuss the social security schemes and initiatives launched by the government recently.

भारत में सामाजिक सुरक्षा के महत्व की जांच करें। इसके अलावा हाल ही में सरकार द्वारा शुरू की गई सामाजिक सुरक्षा योजनाओं और पहलों पर भी चर्चा करें।

5. What is futures market? Examine the factors that led to the near collapse of agri-futures in India. Should it be revived? Examine.

‘फयूचर्स मार्केट’ क्या है? भारत में कृषि-फयूचर्स के पतन के कारण कारकों की जांच करें। क्या इसे पुनर्जीवित किया जाना चाहिए? जांच करें।
