Important Guidelines
- In real interview one will never get much time to express, so try to visualize and then write succinctly. Do not consider it an essay
- Raise counter questions when reviewing others. This will broaden the dimensions as the same will happen in interview.
- Counter questions will help in better expression as well as expose to various aspects one may have missed while writing. It will lead to better understanding of the issue.
The issue for discussion today is the following:
The ‘Red Corridor’ as we know it is an area of left wing extremism. The cause, the Naxalites seem to be fighting for is apparently the destitution and deprivation of the poor masses. They want to overthrow the existing order and establish their rule. While its true that the state has failed to bring development to these areas, the protracted struggle of the Naxalites has divorced itself from the real needs and aspirations of the poor masses. In reality, the movement has become an easy way of extortion and terror.
Given the situation and the limitations of state apparatus, what suggestions do you have for tackling this security threat.
