Set 2: Analyse the following issue:

Judicial overreach and adventurism has always been a issue of debate in India. In fact the prevailing jurisprudence in India is an outcome of the same debate. However, the recent controversies surrounding the apex court is a testimony to judiciary’s inner fissures and its decline as an institution that once commanded immense respect and infallibility. What are your views in this regard? Why a decline of judiciary as a public institution would be more devastating than its other counterparts? Think about it.
