Think, Learn & Perform (TLP) PHASE II- UPSC General Studies and Optional Mains Answer Writing 2017

Think, Learn and Perform- Online 2017 Mains

“Learn as much by writing as by reading”

This quote by Lord Acton encapsulates the spirit that is required in UPSC preparation. For many years, toppers have been reiterating the significance of writing practice and so do we. You also realise it. Don’t you? But are you ready to make that extra effort, take the pain of practicing on a daily basis and walk that extra mile that will sail you through Mains? That only you know. Our experience in the last two years has only shown that the tempo of the aspirants comes down dramatically as the days go by.

But then, there are few who don’t let the momentum diminish by any chance and when the D-Day comes, they fell at ease. Why? It’s because, the more you sweat during training, the less you bleed in war! But it takes determination and courage to throw down the yoke of complacency and procrastination. Had all been able to show the same amount of character, it would have been impossible for UPSC to select its candidates.

Here we are, once again, with our trademark Think, Learn and Perform (TLP) – Online initiative. We provide you a platform where you get the best quality questions, synopsis and reviews for GS and Essays. It is up to you to take full advantage of this free initiative. We can share many success stories that stem from this forum like Mani-126, Nitesh-141, Dinesh-06, Hitika-121, Pawan-505, Ravi-694 and many more regular followers of TLP Answer Writing but eventually all the inspiration, motivation and push from IASbaba boils down to your ability to internalise them.

Very Important Note

If you really want to clear Mains in this very attempt read further, otherwise ignore!

Most of the aspirants do not clear Mains not only because of lack of answer writing but several other factors involved. Do not get excited with so many questions and plan at your disposal. It is the consistency along with proper strategy that works better.

We have kept a plan that will take care of step wise preparation of General Studies Papers. In the span of few months you have to prepare for all the papers. If you are doing it randomly without consolidating your preparation, it is of no use. That is why we have Paper Wise Plan.

Let’s keep it simple- you have the best possible tool in your hand for clearing Mains this year. It leaves you with two options- either use it effectively and qualify or discard it and hope for the best.

Aspirants who are Rank Holders and want to improve, Written Mains, been to Interview or Sure of Qualifying Prelims this year- Fill This Form

As your mentor and friend, we at IASbaba hope the best for you. Let us focus on what is actually needed, stay away from distractions and give our 100%.

NOTE: Make sure that, before 10th July, you revise TLP 2017 -Phase 1 and Current Affairs Magazine

Hi, I had a doubt regarding how to approach test series and answer writing . I am also thinking of joining vision online test series . I thought of completing the syllabus revision according to iasbaba plan and then take vision tests of that subject. I just wanted to see if this is how others are proceeding since I am finding it difficult to right answers without having to go to the sources and reading again.
If you could pls share how you are approaching , it will be really helpful .
      Thanks a lot 🙂

      • Hello Baba,
A humble request to please put up a compilation of TLP Phase 1. The one provided by you last year (Day 1 to 50 and 51 to 75) was brilliant.

with due respects to babaji, im sure it’ll be tough for any person to check all the copies.

      • Sherlock

So your Aikyatha will check all copies?
Kudos to your marketing strategy 😀

  • Rachna

    Wow!
thank you baba.. I will try to be regular 🙂

  • Vikram Kumar

    Babaji please start economics optional

  • Panda

Is it necessary to fill the form???

    • mayank agarwal

That you are asking about the form, I assume you must be scoring well in the prelims and having some experience. I have taken up an essay course online (http://exam.aikyatha.in/). Yet undecided of where to go for GS. And im not in Bangalore. So both baba and insights are ruled out. I dont trust many people in delhi as im told they are outsourcing the answer correction to aspirants, including Vision. In the one i mentioned abov, they are promising that some rankers are evaluating the papers. Please give ur suggestion

      • Prashanth naik

i dont know if i should reply, but i have joined the essay course as well

        • Sherlock

          Suspicious
          Again must be marketing strategy
          Hello Aikyatha 😀

      • Panda

Not experinced for mains…i was asking coz it says those who r scoring well in prelims.
Well nothing is sure shot but considering the fact cut off might b low .so crossed fingwrs.
And regarding this link .i dn hav any idea .sorry

      • Mission 2017

        Hws dis for essay

      • Sherlock

What a clever way to market your (aikyatha) product 😀

  • curious

hello ias baba team, i have not done your TLP-1, due to engage in some classes for prelims, but now i want to practice for mains ansrwer writing, from where i can start for TLP-II? is it necesasry to complete TLP-! first.?

    • Yes do it. Still more than a week to start phase 2

  • King Crimson

    Hello IASBaba and fellow aspirants,
First of all, thank you Baba for all your help you’ve provided for us aspirants. I think I speak for all of us when I say that all your initiatives were very helpful for the prelims. I’m almost certain of clearing the prelims, although, not very comfortably. Even if I don’t, I know I cannot afford to wait for the results to start preparing for the Mains- in fact, I have already started preparing after a week of refreshing vacation. Hope all the fellow aspirants had a good prelims. Even if one is unsure of clearing prelims, I would like to advice you all to start preparing for Mains. Last year, I wasted precious 40 odd days bothering about prelims result (since I was on the borderline) – and when I surprisingly qualified, it was too late and I fell short of 24 marks to reach interview stage. So, better stop worrying and gear up for the tough road ahead.

Baba, I would like to contribute to your Mains initiative for PSIR optional (Political Science & International Relations). Although I’m not really an expert on the subject, but I believe I have prepared well till now. I have also prepared a broad blueprint of the coming 4 months of preparation. So, I’m willing to post schedule and questions regularly through this platform if fellow aspirants give a positive response.

    Dear Fellow Aspirants with PSIR-Optional,

I am calling for a small dedicated group of 3-4 to work on fixed targets via Evernote.
From Jul 3rd to Oct 15th. I have a schedule ready but am open to changes.
Fixed daily coverage of topics and discussions limited to those topics only (Study-Revise-Answer Writing). Hoping to cover Previous Years Qs topic-wise (shared effort) upon finishing each topic.

Disclaimer No.1: Experienced players may not benefit from joining unless you intend to finish your entire PSIR preparation within the limited amount of time available to late-lateefs like me. But, it will be strictly a target-based and regular collaborative effort. Discussions outside the realm will not be entertained.

Disclaimer No.2: This is the third platform I am posting this message at. So pardon the sin of redundancy if you have already seen this elsewhere. Looking for serious aspirants and in limited numbers only. If you reply and do not get a response from me, do not be disheartened. Baba is probably going to start an initiative soon for everyone. My post is for private collaboration only. Also, I am sure many others are looking for collaboration too.

I wish all of you a victorious 2017-18.

    So, who’s up for it?
