Note: TLP Phase I is designed to let you explore and express the basic concepts in different subjects. The questions asked in this phase won’t be too analytical. However, they will require you to connect different concepts and evolve a response.

This time, we are posting questions in Hindi as well to encourage participation from aspirants writing their exam in Hindi language. We request you to write and upload your answers on this forum and get benefited from the community.

1. Notwithstanding, an increasing role of the market and the NGOs as institutions of modernization and progress in the country, the State continues to have a leading say in transformation of society to make it just and equal. Illustrate.

देश में आधुनिकीकरण और प्रगति की संस्थाओं के रूप में बाजार और गैर-सरकारी संगठनों की बढ़ती भूमिका  के बावजूद, समाजिक परिवर्तन द्वारा समानता तथा न्याय को बढ़ावा देने में सरकार की भूमिका अहम रही है। उदाहरण देकर स्पष्ट करें।

2. Along with micro-financing institutions, the self-help groups (SHG’s) are emerging as institutions of social capital. Discuss? Do you think SHGs have moved beyond credit and are doing commendable work in other areas as well? Substantiate.

सूक्ष्म-वित्तपोषण संस्थानों के साथ-साथ, स्वयं सहायता समूह (एसएचजी) सामाजिक पूंजी के संस्थानों के रूप में उभर रहे हैं। चर्चा करें? क्या आपको लगता है कि एसएचजी क्रेडिट से आगे बढ़ गए हैं और अन्य क्षेत्रों में भी सराहनीय काम कर रहे हैं? पुष्टी करें।

3. In the emerging multi- faceted nature of governance, the civil society institutions can play a constructive role not only in harnessing the resources of the government but also in tapping the structure and resources of the market to give a fair deal to the people, and in creating an environment where sustainable development takes place. Comment.

प्रशासन की उभरती बहुपक्षीय प्रकृति में, नागरिक समाज संस्थान न केवल सरकार के संसाधनों के उपयोग में एक रचनात्मक भूमिका निभा सकते हैं बल्कि नागरिकों के उचित फायदे के लिए बाजार के ढांचे और संसाधनों का सही उपयोग भी सुनिश्चित कर सकते हैं, और साथ ही एक ऐसा वातावरण उत्पन्न कर सकते हैं जहां स्थायी विकास होता संभव हो सके। टिप्पणी करें।

4. Does India have a cohesive policy for NGOs? Examine. Also evaluate the need of framing of a law to regulate the activities of NGOs in the country.

क्या भारत में गैर-सरकारी संगठनों के लिए एक एकत्रीय नीति है? जांच करें। साथ ही देश में गैर-सरकारी संगठनों की गतिविधियों को विनियमित करने के लिए कानून बनाने की आवश्यकता का मूल्यांकन करें।

5. Development is a multifaceted process. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) have captured the vital aspects of human life and set targets accordingly. Does India’s developmental discourse resonate with the SDGs? Critically examine.

विकास एक बहुमुखी प्रक्रिया है । सशक्त विकास लक्ष्यों (एसडीजी) ने मानव जीवन के महत्वपूर्ण पहलुओं को ध्यान में रखा है और तदनुसार लक्ष्य निर्धारित किया है। क्या भारत का विकासात्मक प्रवचन एसडीजी के साथ प्रतिध्वनित होता है? समालोचनात्मक जांच करें।
