Question 1 of 5
1. Question
Among Anil, Bibek, Pritam, Debu, and Eswar, Eswar is taller than Debu but not as fat as Debu. Pritam is taller than Anil but shorter than Bibek. Anil is fatter than Debu but not as fat as Bibek. Eswar is thinner than Pritam, who is thinner than Debu. Eswar is shorter than Anil. Who is the thinnest person?
Correct
Solution (d)
The question asks for the thinnest person. Therefore, let us arrange the persons in the decreasing order of their weight.
Eswar is not as fat as Debu.
Therefore, Debu > Eswar.
Anil is fatter than Debu but not as fat as Bibek.
Bibek > Anil > Debu > Eswar.
Eswar is thinner than Pritam, who is thinner than Debu
Bibek > Anil > Debu > Pritam > Eswar.
Therefore, Eswar is the thinnest among the five persons and hence, option d is the correct answer.
Incorrect
Solution (d)
The question asks for the thinnest person. Therefore, let us arrange the persons in the decreasing order of their weight.
Eswar is not as fat as Debu.
Therefore, Debu > Eswar.
Anil is fatter than Debu but not as fat as Bibek.
Bibek > Anil > Debu > Eswar.
Eswar is thinner than Pritam, who is thinner than Debu
Bibek > Anil > Debu > Pritam > Eswar.
Therefore, Eswar is the thinnest among the five persons and hence, option d is the correct answer.

Question 2 of 5
2. Question
Two motorists A and B are practicing with two different sports cars Red Bull and Mercedes, on the circular racing track for the car racing tournament to be held next month. Both A and B start from the same point on the circular track. A completes one round of the track in 1 minute and B takes 2 minutes to complete a round. While A maintains same speed for all the rounds, B halves his speed after the completion of each round. How many times A and B will meet between the 6th round and 9th round of B (6th and 9th round is excluded)? Assume that the speed of B remains steady throughout each round and changes only after the completion of that round.
Correct
Solution (c)
Since, Time = Distance/Speed. As B halves his speed the time required to complete the round will double therefore time required for Round 1 = 2 min
Round 2 = 4 min
Round 3 = 8 min
Round 4 = 16 min
Round 5 = 32 min
Round 6 = 64 min
Round 7 = 128 min
Round 8 = 256 min
Round 9 = 512 min
Time required by A for each round from Round 1 to Round 9 = 1 min
Therefore the number of times they meet between 6th round and 9th round of B (6th and 9th round is excluded) = time required by B to complete round 7 and 8 – time required by A to complete his round 7 and 8
= 256 + 128 – 1 – 1
= 382
Therefore option c is the correct answer.
Incorrect

Question 3 of 5
3. Question
A survey shows that 61%, 46% and 29% of the people watched Dangal, Bahubali and Sultan movies respectively. 25% people watched exactly two of the three movies and 3% watched none. What percentage of people watched all the three movies?
Correct
Solution (d)
Let the number of people who watched exactly one movie be ‘a’, the number of people who watched exactly two movies be ‘b’ and the number of people who watched exactly three movies be ‘c’
Then, a + b + c = 100 – 3 = 97 (i)
Also, a + 2b + 3c = 61 + 46 + 29 = 136 (ii)
On subtracting (i) from (ii), we get
b + 2c = 39
It is given that, b = 25
So, c = 7
Therefore, 7% people watched all the three movies.
Hence, option d is correct.
Incorrect
Solution (d)
Let the number of people who watched exactly one movie be ‘a’, the number of people who watched exactly two movies be ‘b’ and the number of people who watched exactly three movies be ‘c’
Then, a + b + c = 100 – 3 = 97 (i)

On subtracting (i) from (ii), we get
b + 2c = 39
It is given that, b = 25
So, c = 7
Therefore, 7% people watched all the three movies.
Hence, option d is correct.

Question 4 of 5
4. Question
Read the information given below and answer the questions that follow
A television channel has scheduled five half‐hour shows between 9.30 pm and midnight. Out of the three family drama shows ‘Main Sati Hoon’ has social message for audience. The family dramas bring in maximum revenues for the channel and they are scheduled one after another. The show ‘Detective Doom’ is a suspense thriller, a family drama and also has social message. Two of the family dramas have social message and one not having social message has adult content. There are two shows which have adult content and they have been scheduled at 10.30 pm and 11.30 pm. The show ‘HIV and India’ is a news based program and also has social message. ‘Midnight Murders’ neither has social message nor is a family drama and is scheduled at 11.30 pm. The two news based programs but are not family dramas have been given two adjacent slots. The show ‘Main Sati Hoon’ has been scheduled for 10.00 to 10.30 pm slot and has a family drama preceding it. ‘Laugh a While’ is the fifth program.
When is the programme ‘Laugh a While’ scheduled?
Correct
Solution (d)
We can draw the following conclusion based on the given information.
Main sati Hoon (10 pm)
Detective doom
The 3 family dramas are scheduled between 9.30 PM to 11 PM, with two shows with social message between 9.30 PM to 10.30 PM and one with adult content between 10.30 PM to 11 PM.
The 2 newsbased programs are scheduled between 11 PM to 12 PM with the one having adult content is scheduled at 11.30 PM (Midnight Murders).
So HIV and India is the other news based program and scheduled at 11 PM.
augh a while is the third Family Drama with adult content and is scheduled at 10.30 PM
Hence option d is correct.
Incorrect

Hence option d is correct.

Question 5 of 5
5. Question
In a triangle ABC the length of side BC is 295 cm. If the length of side AB is a perfect square, then the length of side AC is a power of 2, and the length of side AC is twice the length of side AB. Determine the perimeter of the triangle.
Correct
Solution (c)
Let AC = 2k
AC = 2 * AB
So, AB = 2(k1)
Only 256 and 512 satisfy this condition as the third side is 295 and we have to ensure that sum of the two sides of the triangle is greater than the third side.
Thus, the perimeter = (256 + 512 + 295) = 1063 cm.
Hence, option c is correct
